"Sikka 33" Project




Dubai, our beloved emirate, has different beautiful places that reflects our beauty past, and for some reason there are some place that have sweet memories in our minds as locals, whenever you go to any place in Dubai you remember your old family members, your childhood, and your heritage.

some of these places are the old souq and al bastakiya..

From this manner "Sikka 33" Project was out by ~alia-alshamsi contributing with our friend *Rakan-Dubai & I *Droubi to celebrate our past and its beauty..

what does the Project consist of?

- A Photography exhibition that take place OUTDOOR in BASTAKIYA, where pictures will be exhibited on the walls.

what Kind of pictures we will exhibit?

- any picture taken in and for "sikka 33" or any other sikka in bastakiya with any size you like..

Pictures submitting are due date 1st November 2007

Printing & preparing will be during the month..

exhibition start in December due to the cool climate in that month..


can I join you???

- of course you can!! take your cam, and go to these two places bastakiya or sikka 33 in the old souq, and show us your creative work about the place!

Let's get all our Sikka 33 pictures together & get other people to take pics of it.
We then print them up & exhibit them preferably in Sikka 33.
So whoever took pics there please post them up & whoever wants to join yallah an occasion to get out there & take pics of it.
